Gauge: using light worsted (3) and size 5/3.75mm needles over stockinette stitch, 11sts x 15 rows to 2”(5cm)
Abbreviations

Picot- there are 2 ways of joining the picot row, using the spare needle go to back of work and pick up every
second loop of the picot first row, knit 1st of main needle together with one stitch of the spare needle, then
knit one stitch of the main needle, continue like this to the end of the row, the other way is to sew it together,
catching a loop of the first row and a loop of the last row.

Row 18: ribbon row, * k3, yon, k2tog, rep from * to last 3sts, k3

Row 20: knit
Row 21: purl
Divide for foot
K19, turn, p10, work on these 10sts
Work 10 rows st st on these sts, break yarn
Rejoin yarn, pick up and k8sts evenly from side of instep, k10sts on needle, pick up and k8sts evenly down other instep then knit sts from needle, (44sts)
Change to yellow yarn
